Need to update

Just going to give a bit of news on each of us:

Brian has just started his Firefighter 2 course. It is three days a week, and lasts 4 weeks. I will be glad when that is over!! But he loves it so much! And it will help him while he is out fighting fires, to be a bit more knowledgeable. And safer I hope.

Josh is going to the dentist today to have a space maintainer put in. He had to have 2 large molars pulled in January because he didn't have enough room for the new teeth trying to come in. I am told he will have to keep this appliance in for several years. He finally had one front tooth pop in!! He as been without front teeth for about 7 months.

Keira is in Lana Lee's summer preschool. She really doesn't like going, because her bestie is not in the class. But I think it will be good for her to go and get into the routine of waking up early and getting to school. I think it will mostly help me! I will have both Josh and keira going at 8 a.m. this fall.

Kami just got her first tooth on Sunday!! Her daddy found it, which is pretty remarkable because he doesn't usually get to be here during the kids milestones. She is sleeping really well, and napping during the day. She just started rolling over this week! I was so happy to see that, because I thought there was something wrong with her. (moms worry too much)

As for me, I am down with a cold this week and can't run! I have been running for about 12 weeks. I love it! I have really noticed a difference in my day to day life. I love being a mom and love working with my fellow EMT's of San Juan County! Life is Great!!!

Update time!!

I know it has been a very long time since I posted! Here is a short review of what has happened with us...
Josh started Kindergar
ten in August and his teacher is Mrs. Redd. He loves her! He is learning to read!! And he loves school.

Keira is in her second year of
Preschool with Lana Lee, and she has so much fun t here! She is a little silly though, she tells Mrs. Lee that she can't write her name because she is "too little" and she has to be "big like Josh" to write her name. Hopefully she will at least try!!

Halloween was fun for the kids also, they went trunk or treating at our church, and that was about all I could handle at 8 and 1/2 months pregnant!

I was starting to show signs of labor in early October and was forced to stop working and take it easy...

When it was finally safe to have the baby they stripped the membrane and it sent me into what I thought was labor, I went to the birthing center and the contractions stopped! So they sent me home, and was induced a week later on November 2nd.

I went in at 8 a.m. and was started on pit around 9:00 a.m. and was holding Kami by 12:45 p.m.

Kami Lynne weighed in at 6 lbs 13 oz.
19 1/2 in long
She has been a huge joy in our home!

This is our little "Kammers" today. Josh and Keira love having a baby sister and just dote on her all the time. They also like to pretend that they are her mom and dad, and when they do that they go through my closet and dress up in mine and Brian's clothes! So Cute and So Funny!

It's a GIRL!!!

So everyone I really don't lack in the communication department, which means you may already know this, but we are so excited to announce Baby Kirby #3 is a GIRL!!!

The name we are considering is Kami Lyn. Any other ideas? It must be a K name per Keira's request and demand!

Also I must add this is not our ultrasound picture. I borrowed it from www.in-gender.com.

Lake Powell

Not going to write much today. I just wanted to post some pictures of our day at Lake Powell. I have been feeling very cooped up and needed to get out of here!

Slip'n'slide

It is very funny to me that between my last post and this one, we had snow!!!
Josh and Keira had so much fun! We played all afternoon. Keira is not as brave as Josh. She really does not like to get wet. But I think we can teach her to enjoy it!

Not Too Cold For Swim Suits, and Sprinklers

All day Josh has been asking me if it is spring yet. I have been telling him over and over, "Yeah it is, but it still a little cold." I really didn't know what he was thinking about. And then today we had to take him to Monticello, for an Allergy testing. The whole way he was asking if it was hot. Well I am always warmer then others, and now that I am pregnant there is a large difference between my temp. and everyone else. So at that moment it was hot driving the car with the sun shining on me, through the window. I answered, "Heck yes it is HOT!" We pulled into the driveway at the same time as Brian, and one of his friends. I didn't pay attention to the kids getting out of the car, I just walked over to talk with the friend. About 5 minutes later John, (Brian's friend) says, "hey is that your boy? You must be proud." Then he chuckles. We both look behind us and Josh had changed into his trunks! "Turn on the water DAD!" Of course Keira has to do what Big Brother does! They were a little chilly, but had the time of their lives!

First Photo

This is the first picture of our baby!
Seeing the little heart beating at 8 weeks really made me get excited for this new little spirit to come to our home.
I think that I was feeling a little detached from this one, because so many people around me have had miscarriages and it was really making me not want to connect.
I pray that everything will go good and I will have a baby in hand this fall!
