It's a GIRL!!!

So everyone I really don't lack in the communication department, which means you may already know this, but we are so excited to announce Baby Kirby #3 is a GIRL!!!

The name we are considering is Kami Lyn. Any other ideas? It must be a K name per Keira's request and demand!

Also I must add this is not our ultrasound picture. I borrowed it from www.in-gender.com.

Lake Powell

Not going to write much today. I just wanted to post some pictures of our day at Lake Powell. I have been feeling very cooped up and needed to get out of here!

Slip'n'slide

It is very funny to me that between my last post and this one, we had snow!!!
Josh and Keira had so much fun! We played all afternoon. Keira is not as brave as Josh. She really does not like to get wet. But I think we can teach her to enjoy it!

Not Too Cold For Swim Suits, and Sprinklers

All day Josh has been asking me if it is spring yet. I have been telling him over and over, "Yeah it is, but it still a little cold." I really didn't know what he was thinking about. And then today we had to take him to Monticello, for an Allergy testing. The whole way he was asking if it was hot. Well I am always warmer then others, and now that I am pregnant there is a large difference between my temp. and everyone else. So at that moment it was hot driving the car with the sun shining on me, through the window. I answered, "Heck yes it is HOT!" We pulled into the driveway at the same time as Brian, and one of his friends. I didn't pay attention to the kids getting out of the car, I just walked over to talk with the friend. About 5 minutes later John, (Brian's friend) says, "hey is that your boy? You must be proud." Then he chuckles. We both look behind us and Josh had changed into his trunks! "Turn on the water DAD!" Of course Keira has to do what Big Brother does! They were a little chilly, but had the time of their lives!

First Photo

This is the first picture of our baby!
Seeing the little heart beating at 8 weeks really made me get excited for this new little spirit to come to our home.
I think that I was feeling a little detached from this one, because so many people around me have had miscarriages and it was really making me not want to connect.
I pray that everything will go good and I will have a baby in hand this fall!

Measure twice!

When we bought the oven and fridge, last fall, they were listed as standard size. We assumed they would fit just fine. They were delivered to us, and we found out that our old appliances must have been petite! We needed an extra inch just to squeeze them into the small spot. The previous oven and fridge had plenty of wiggle room. We had to take out a mop board and cut the end off of our newly installed counter tops. (good thing I was cheap and didn't get granite!) Three grown men pushed and shoved and maneuvered the two into their new home. Now that it is spring time, (and I am a freak about cleaning under the fridge) I need to move them... hmmm... how will this happen?! I may have to hire the job out.

Any Ideas?!

Yes it is true!

I am pregnant with our 3rd baby... Just found out this week. And really for the first 6 hours I was not excited. I was actually a little angry. And to be honest I am still really worried! So many things to worry about, like how will this effect my daycare, and will I be able to wake up at 6:30 a.m. for my first daycare child to come, and why one earth did I get rid off all my baby stuff?! We really were in the mindset, of being done having kids. I have nothing! Literally NOTHING. I feel like it is probably a good thing I found out so early, because I will need all the next 8 months to buy all the baby things I will need. I gave everything away to friends and family. And really if you are reading this and I gave you stuff, I do not want it back! Unless it's the crib. LOL But I know that is long gone.

The kids are so excited though! Josh wants to name the baby Luke Skywalker, if it is a boy. and Keira wants it to be a girl and "her name to start with K just like mine." She says. Funny Kids! I just want a healthy baby, I don't mind if it is a boy or a girl. But Oh I am dreading all the money I will have to spend to get all the baby gear I need!

I love Spring!

Okay I know this is not the best picture, but it means so much to me!! lol
Today for the first time all year I hung clothes on the line! I am so excited for the weather to be warm enough to have my laundry dry in the sun! It saves electricity, and it is therapeutic to go outside and get my daily dose of vitamin D! I love it.
Along those same lines, I have noticed that sunrise is earlier. I love that too! My first daycare child comes at 6:30 a.m. and what a change to wake up with the sun, instead of before.
Can you tell that I LOVE Spring?!

premature spring cleaning

I have the bug! The Spring Fever Bug. I want spring to be here. I am looking forward for the morning I wake up and smell it in the air. But until that happens I will have to pretend it is here, so today I gutted my kitchen, I cleaned out all the cupboards, and under everything, even re waxed the floors. (my floors are really ugly though, i should not draw attention to them) It took me all day, but I am proud with the results. Okay it did make me notice that the rest of the house is in a "National State of Emergency"! LOL

Got to get back to work! Just remember to love life!

A wonderful Quote and a little explosion (very long sorry)

I hope you don't mind Michelle. I borrowed this from your blog!

"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenk's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someones garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived."-Marjorie Hinckley

Okay now story time! Today I had a couple sick children in my daycare, and had not been in the basement since earlier this morning. So when all had departed to their homes, I came down to check my email and pay some bills. I got to the bottom step and smelled something mysterious and not good. (I am surprised that doesn't happen more often) So I started my search... Cleaned up the toys and found nothing. I tried smelling all over the room but no source! So I decided it was time to clean the carpets and the couch. It took a long time finding a lot of surprises in the couch. Keira was excited, so many small toys she had thought were gone, were found! lol But still no source. Then I got the Carpet Shampooer all ready and began the 2 hour job. I filled and emptied the machine at least ten times. and was just beginning the hallway, which was my last area, when the shampooer exploded! I mean smoke, no flames, but it was a very loud "POP!" Oh and the smell! so I rushed it up the stairs and out the back door with wet feet and carried it to the road. My feet were frozen! Then I called my volunteer firefighter husband. "Get it out!" he said... DUH! lol "Air out the room" Again, DUH... lol Anyway so it is awaiting its Departure on the big green truck to Shampooer Heaven.

I really hope you enjoy this story, it is making me laugh as I type it! And who doesn't need a laugh?

Rock Band Addicts

So I want everyone to know that Brian is a Rock Band Addict!!! I think he needs an intervention! The idea behind me buying the game for Christmas was spending time together as a family playing this very fun, interactive game. But honestly it has turned into Brian hogging the guitar and not allowing anyone to be the guitar but him! It is so funny. Really how old are we?!

Oh speaking of age... lets embarrass him a little more, He is turning 30 in June!!!!

Okay just so you all know I do love him more then I ever thought possible and he is a wonderful father and husband, so kind and loving! Don't hate the addict, hate the addiction! hahahaha

A New Me

I am going through some spiritual growth right now. I have not been living as I should. I love the plan of salvation! I love repentance! I love my bishop, my visiting teachers, my r.s. presidency! Seriously! I love Sunday I wish that every day was Sunday! how much easier our lives would be:) I know the Book Of Mormon is all true! Nephi is amazing! I am reading it everyday. I really never thought I would be where I am in life. I lost track for a while. It has a lot to do with bad choices in my close associations with others. I am not strong enough to fix other peoples problems. I had to figure that out the hard way, I lose my way and end up not helping them! I wanted to help a friend who is not living the gospel, I thought "I will help her!" but in 6 months I was lost. I had to lose that friend in the process which is the hardest part for me. I just know that I am not strong enough for that friendship. Someday maybe I will be but now I need to focus on my family and myself, and getting back to the temple! Soon I hope! I just wanted to let anyone that reads my blog know that I am happy and trying really hard to "stay out of the thick of thin things." Got that saying from institute way back in the day. Wow can I just tell you all what a difference it makes in your life to have the gospel!
